Current Course Info: Both the Pikes Peak Ascent & Pikes Peak Marathon start near City Hall in Manitou Springs. The Ascent finishes at the summit of Pikes Peak. The Marathon ascends to the summit of Pikes Peak and then finishes back in Manitou Springs, near the Manitou Ave & Ruxton intersection. The Ascent & Marathon were first held on separate days in 1981, thereby making the Double possible beginning that year.
Note: In 2018, the Pikes Peak Ascent was shortened because of the threat of bad weather at the summit. The race ended at Barr Camp. Thus results from 2018 are not reflected in these records.
