Weather: Yikes, what happened to summer?  Low clouds with wind and a cold rain.
         Temperature 35 degress with a wind chill of about 30 degress.  Wind
         gusting to 30 MPH.

Course: Start and finish on paved roads, but the majority of the course is
        on the fitness trails on Fort Carson.  This is a well-groomed, dirt
        trail and includes a couple of decent hills.

Note: The start of the race was delayed for 30 minutes because of lightning
      in the area.
