Weather: A sunny day with temps in the 50s and rising.  There was a
         slight breeze.

Course: Out-and-back course.  The first and last few blocks were on
        city streets in Monument.  The remainder of the course was
        run on the New Santa Fe Trail, a well-groomed dirt trail.
        The course is mostly flat and the elevation is about 7200 feet.
